POTATO AND PEAS CURRY SEASONED WITH TOMATO
Potato and Pea curry is one of the easiet and quickest curry to make. It can be served with roti or just palin rice. Follow this quick and easy potato pea curry recipe to enjoy the flavours of indian curry food.
Ingredients
Chopped potato cubes
: 1 cup
Frozen peas
: 1 cup
Chopped tomatoes
: 1/2 cup
Chopped onion (optional)
: 1/2 cup
Mix masala (coriander powder+chilli powder+turmeric powder)
: 2 tbsp
Water
: 1 cup
For seasoning (tarka)
Oil
: 2 tbsp
Chopped ginger (optional)
: 1 tsp
For Garnish
Chopped coriander leaves
: 2 tbsp
Lemon juice (optional)
: 1 tbsp
Method
- In a 2 quart glass bowl add oil, ginger, onion and potato cubes. Cover and cook in microwave for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and mix masala and mix, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add peas water, cover and cook for 5 minutes or until potatoes and peas done.
- Press few potato cubes with spoon so gravy become little thick and tasty.
- Mix lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves, serve warm with breads and rice.
