POPULAR RASAM RECIPE
Popular Rasam is very simple to cook. The fusion of Jaggery,tamarind, and curry leaves gives the Popular Rasam a radiant taste.
Ingredients
Jaggery
: 1 tbsp
Tamarind
: 1 tbsp
Water
: 1 cup
Oil
: 2 tsp
Crushed garlic
: 4 cloves
Pounded mustard seeds
: 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
: 1 tbsp
Red chille powder
: 2 tsp
Chopped onion
: 1 small
Salt
: To taste
Red dry chillies broken into pieces
: 2
Pepper corns
: 6
Turmeric powder
: 1/2 tsp
Method
- Mix the first three ingredients in a deep bowl and microwave for 3 minutes.
- Let it stand for 1 minute.
- In another vessel microwave covered, oil and the rest of the ingredients, except water, for 2 minutes.
- Mix in water and microwave for 7 minutes.
- Strain, and pour into 6 glasses.
