LACHKO DAL Vegetarian-Dish

This is a very nutrious and healthy recipe made with moong dal and jaggery.



Ingredients

Moong dal
: 500 gms
Jaggery(or desired)
: To taste
Salt
: To taste
Ginger and garlic paste
: 2 tsp
Dhanajiru masala
: A pinch
Oil to baghaar
: To Taste
Tometoes
: 1

Lachko Dal

Method

  • Soak moong dal for 10 mts before cooking, then cook it for 5 mts in cooker for one whistle only.
  • Put bhaar then rai, ginger-garlic paste.
  • Then cut small pieces of tometoes put it in baghar, with dhanajiru masalas and salt and mirchi powder to taste with jaggerry as per required.
  • Cook for 10 mts till the dal gets mixed and cooked with cover on it. if the water gets soaked then remove form heat and serve with roti's or bhakari.
  • Corriander leaves on it to garnish.
