KHEER WITH JAGGERY
Kheer is the most common dessert among the Indians prepared at the time of all the major festivals and celebrations.In south and east India versions of it are made for certain festivals.
Ingredients
Cooked rice
: 2 cups
Jaggery(or desired)
: 1 cup
Milk
: 1 cup
Fresh coconut(grated)
: 1 cup
Condensed milk
: 8oml
Cadamoms(coarsely crushed)
: 6
Almonds -cut lengthy wise
Raisins
: 6
Cashewnuts(broken)
: 6
Ghee
: 2 tbsp
Method
- Mix condensed milk. ½ cup milk,cardamoms,grated coconut.
- Add jaggery & mix well.
- Let it cook on very low heat for 4 min,without sticking bottom.
- Saut`e cashew nuts,raisins,almonds for 1 min.in 1tsp ghee.
- Mix all nuts to above kheer.remove from the heat.
- Warm the other ½ cup milk & add directly to the readymade kheer.
- Pour ghee over kheer & keep the lid.stir before you serve.
- Serve hot.
