KESAR PUDDING
This is a sophisticated dish name. Kesar kheer means sweet rice pudding with various second helpings and it's a quite easy recipe.It is a traditional sweet dish, made by boiling rice or broken wheat with milk and sugar. It is flavoured with cardamoms, raisins, saffron, pistachios or almonds.
Ingredients
Milk
: 1 litre
Basmati rice
: 1/4 cup
Sugar
: 3/4 cup
Saffron( warm & powder )
: 1/2 tsp
Method
- Boil the milk in a casserole on Micro Hi for 8 mts.
- Meanwhile wash and strain the rice and keep it ready .
- Add rice to the milk and Micro Med for 45 mts stirring 4 or 5 times in between. Remove , add sugar and saffron.
- Mix thoroughly and Micro Low for 10 mts.
