JEERA PULAO RECIPE
Introduced into the Indian cuisine by the Moguls, Jeera Pulao soon became one of the most popular dishes to be served in the Indian household. Its versatility has made it ever so popular, since it can be served with almost any curry.
Ingredients
Basmati rice
(washed and soaked for 30 minutes in 2 cups water)

: 1 cup
Shahjeera (black cummin seeds)
: 1 tsp
Salt
: 1/2 tsp
Desi ghee (clarified butter)
: 1 tsp
Lime juice
: a squeeze
Method
- Put all the ingredients together in a deep bowl.
- In a microwave safe bowl, cook the rice, along with jeera and water, for 10 minutes.
- Stir once in between, to ensure uniform cooking.
- Keep aside.
- In a different bowl, mix oil, cumin seeds and green chilies. Microwave at 165 degree F, for 30 seconds.
- Add rice and salt. Mix well and microwave high at 165 degree F for another 30 seconds.
- Microwave jeera Pulao is ready.
