GINGERBREAD
It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Gingerbread is a really good and easy microwave recipe.
Ingredients
Butter
: 60g
Small egg
: 1
Treacle
: 2 tbsp
Caster sugar
: 3 tsp
Ground ginger
: 1/2 tsp
Plain flour sifted
: 1 cup
Ground mixed spice
: 1/2 tsp
Bicarbonate of soda
: 1/2 tsp
Method
- Place the treacle, sugar and the butter into a medium microwave bowl then microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly then stir in the dry ingredients and then beat in the egg.
- Pour into an ungreased 6 cup deep oblong plastic container.
- Stand on an upturned plate and microwave for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes turning container around once.
- Allow the Gingerbread to stand covered for 5 minutes before turning out. Serve the Gingerbread sliced with butter.
