CREAMY MICROWAVE OATMEAL
This recipe is loaded with oats and dried fruits which gives us a goodmeal.Oatmeal is a healthy and delicious way to start the day and these quick breakfast ideas are simple and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Cinnamon
:
1/4 tsp
Sugar (or brown sugar)
: 2 tsp
Low-fat milk
: 2/3 cup
Quick-cooking oats
: 1/3 cup
Raisins or other dried fruit (optional)
:
1/4 cup
Method
- In a microwave safe bowl mix together the milk, oats & dried fruit.
- Microwave on high for 1 min.
- Make sure you use a container big enough so it sdoesn't boil over Stir mixture.
- Continue to microwave until mixture starts to boil (about 1 more min).
- Remove oatmeal from microwave & stir.
- Cover up & let set for 2 mins.
- Remove & stir in the sugar & spice.
- Serve warm with extra milk if desired.
