MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING
For a delicious, chocolaty dessert that tastes wonderful served warm, cold or at room temperature, make chocolate bread pudding. This simple to make dessert is sure to be a hit at your next holiday dinner party or at dinner tomorrow night. A great thing about bread pudding is you don't have to worry about exact ingredients as long as you have enough milk and egg mixture to soak the bread.
Ingredients
Chocolate chips
: 2 tbsp
Milk
: 1/2 cup
Egg, beaten
: 1
Granulated sugar
: 2 tbsp
Vanilla extract
: 1/4 tsp
Bread, cubed
: 2 slices
Method
- Combine chocolate chips and milk in a 2-cup measuring cup. Microwave on HIGH for 60 to 90 seconds or until steaming hot.
- Stir until chocolate is melted. Beat in egg and sugar until blended. Stir in vanilla extract and bread cubes. Spoon into two 6 ounce glass custard cups.
- Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) for 3 to 4 minutes or until puffed and set. Rotate dishes once while cooking.
- Serve warm or cold. If desired, top with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
