BUTTERED PEAS
There is something special about fresh garden peas. Maybe it's their shape, their natural sweetness or their delicate appearance in a dish of melted butter. Peas are high on my list of favorite foods.
Ingredients
Frozen green peas, thawed
: 20 oz. bag
Cream of celery soup
: 1 can
Dry bread crumbs
: 1/2 cup
Butter, melted
: 4 tbsp
Salt and pepper
: To taste
Method
- In a microwave-safe casserole dish, combine the thawed green peas, can of celery soup, melted butter, salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the bread crumbs and microwave heat on high setting for 8 minutes or until ingredients are heated through.
