Katrina Kaif who was voted as the Hottest Woman in the World by a fashion magazine for three times in a row from 2008-2010 is an Indian origin British model. Her dad is Kashmiri Indian who acquired British citizenship and her mom is British by birth.

She is now a well known face in the Bollywood area and is one of the top sought after actresses in the industry. Her elegance, charm, beauty and hard work has helped her reach such heights in the very competitive industry of Bollywood. She has been in India since she started working in films and made India her home and her mother is also living in Chennai.

She was doing modeling when she was spotted by the ace director Kaizad Gustad and he introduced her to the world of Indian Cinema in the year 2003 in the film Boom.

But this failed to do well at the box office and went unnoticed.

It was only after the year 2005 Katrina Kaif gave films that did well a the box office and was also appreciated for her performance in the films thereafter.

Thanks to the directors and film makers who casted her in their films despite her unfamiliarity with the Indian languages and culture.

Katrina Kaif is surely destiny's child. She was spotted by a jewellery giant and was offered to walk the ramp for their jewellery campaign at the age of just 14. It all happened when she was in Hawii. Then she moved to London with her mother after her dad and mom got divorced. She continued her modeling even after going to London, Britain.

She lived there only for 3 months even though she is known to have come from London. She has walked for a lot of popular labels and have also done a lot of commercials and endorsements. She was first introduced into the film industry in 2003 in the film Boom. The film did not do well at the box office and was a failure but that did not stop other directors and producers from approaching her.

She was surely lucky enough to be approached by many well known directors and to be offered many roles despite being an actress who is unfamiliar with the Indian languages and Indian culture. Then Katrina moved to Mumbai and started doing her modeling business too. In the year 2004 she did two Telugu films Malliswari in which she performed as a Malliswari princess and Allari Pidugu.

Her films with Abhishek Bachan and Salman Khan namely, Sarkar and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya in the year 2005 was accepted and both the films did well at the box office and Katrina started tasting success in Bollywood. She became a popular actress and sought after acting after giving 5 releases in the year 2007. Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome are the films and all these films did very well at the box office.

In the year 2008 she did Race and Singh Is Kinng and both these films did very well at the box office. In the year 2009 she did New York and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahan and De Dana Dan with Ranbir Kapoor and all these films were a box office hit. Raajneeti which was released in 2010 was a political thriller.

She also did Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar which became to be a huge mega hit of the year and the item song Shiela Ki Jawani in the film was a hit where Katrina Kaif performed for the song and showcased her sensuous moves.

Then she followed it up with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in the year 2011 which were a hit and received well at the box office and Ek Tha Tiger in the year 2012.

As many actresses she was also rumoured to be linked up with her co-stars. The first one being Salman Khan. She was said to be in a relationship with Salman Khan at the start of her acting career and she was in the shadow of him but the pair ultimately broke up. Her next boyfriend was Ranbir Kapoor with whom she has done a lot of films. She was said to be in relationship since they started working together in the year 2010 for the film Rajneeti and there is a good chemistry between them.
