The most famous actors among the Tollywood actors is Tottempudi Gopichand who is popularly known as Gopichand. He is the younger son of the most famous filmmaker T. Krishna who came into the scene with Tholi Valapu as a hero.

When he was 8 years old his father T. Krishna expired. He finished his studies in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As he lost of his father at the age of 8 there was no influence of his father in his childhood. He finished his engineering degree in Russia. And during that time he was not must interested in films and in acting. He also has an elder brother T. Premchand who is also working as an associate director to Mutyala Subbayya.

His brother Premchand started his career as director and started working on a film under his home banner, but he expired in a car accident unfortunately when Gopichand was in Russia during the death of his brother so due to valid reasons he was not able to attend his brothers funerals. Gopichand felt that someone should carry forward his father's legacy. Since his brother was no more, he decided to enter the film industry and wanted to save the name of his family. After doing his engineering, he did a dialogue modulation course for one year. Then entered into the Tollywood industry where he made his debut as hero in the movie Toli Valapu.

And he is still successful in his career. He started his career by doing the role of villain in the movies Jayam, varsham, nijam. And he got successful hit in all his movies. He then continued his career as the hero. His next movie Souryam released in the year 2008 in the month of September turned out to be a blockbuster movie for him. He is very much famously known for his excellent action and dialogue speaking in addition to his perfect comedy timing. These characters make Gopichand a top most Telugu hero, something which is uncommon in Telugu cinema. He is also most popular among girls due to his handsome and cute figure. He is considered as a handsome energetic Star by all his fans and Tollywood industry. After the movie souryam released in 2008, he acted only in one Telugu film, Sankham, which released in the September 2009. His next Telugu movie , Golimar, was released in the month of 27 May 2010. His next release was the movie Mogudu, in which he acted with the most beautiful heroine Taapsee Pannu.
