INTRODUCTION
This is India's Land's End, the tip of peninsular India where the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet. Kanyakumari Beach

The waves here seem to be quite rough and care should be taken when you go for a surfing or a sea bath.
The beach also accommodates a lighthouse from where one can get a breathtaking view of the endless sky.
You can shop for shells and coir items that are for sale on the Kanyakumari beach.
Kanyakumari Temple

Kumari Amman temple is also famous for the deity adorned with the diamond nose ring that is believed to be guiding the fisherfolk and the ships sailing the sea.
The temple overlooks the shoreline and is not open for non-Hindus.
The temple is open to public from 0430 to 1130 and from 1730 to 2030.
Gandhi Mandapam

The magical feature of this temple is that it is constructed in such a way that on October 2nd, the rays of the sun falls exactly on the urn.
The tourists visiting this spot never miss out the Gandhi Mandapam.
Vivekananda Memorial Rock

Vivekananda Memorial Rock has been constructed on a rock formation that has cropped out of the sea, where Swamy Vivekananda did penance during his visit to Kanyakumari.
Vivekananda Memorial Rock is at a distance of about 500m away from the mainland and attracts a large number of tourists.
From ancient times, even before the temple was built,
the rock was considered a sacred place and was known as 'Sripada Parai' meaning that the rock is blessed by the touch of feet of 'Devi Kumari'.
SHOPPING
Shopping in Kanyakumari is quite interesting especially to buy the handicraft products made out of bamboo, cane and wood.Palmleaf drawings are one of the unique buys from Kanyakumari.Tourists visiting Kanyakumari beach collects souvenirs from the stalls set up by the local people near the beach area. They sell various kind of decorative items made from sea shells. There one will also find jewelry made with the sea shells. Apart from the shore side shops the Tamil Nadu Co-optex Sales Emporium is a favorite shopping destination.ADVENTURE SPORTS
The Baywatch Water Park at a distance of about 2 km away from Kanyakumari on Kovalam Road. This park entertains the tourists by water sports which include slides, roller coasters, artificial waterfalls and wave pools.
