lakh handloom workers across the country. Exports of textiles stood at US$ 29.8 billion between April-December 2021.The textiles sector has witnessed a spurt in investment during the last five years. The industry attracted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) worth US$ 3.93 billion from April 2000-December 2021.
