Overview
The value of the print industry across India was estimated to be over 296 billion Indian rupees in the financial year 2019. This is expected to go up to over 370 billion rupees by 2022, indicating a compounded annual growth of just around one percent. This is expected to go up to almost 410 billion rupees by fiscal year 2024.
Printing and writing segment demand is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.5%. It is expected to reach 5.8 million tonnes in the fiscal year 2020-21. The newsprint demand is expected to reach 2.7 million tonnes in FY21. The growth of the Indian Printing Industry is at a rate of 12% per annum.
