Handicraft exports from Indian Cottage Industry increased by 1.65 per cent year-on-year between Apr-Nov 2018 to US$ 2.42 billion.
During this period, the exports of various segments registered positive growth like Shawls and Artwares (77.50 per cent), Woodworks (23.57 per cent), and Miscellaneous Handicrafts (19.74 per cent).
Indian handicrafts are exported across geographies, with the top 10 destinations being the US, the UK, the UAE, Germany, France, Latin American countries (LAC), Italy, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia.
