Almost 50 per cent of India's leather business comes from international trade.The major markets for Indian leather products are Germany, the US, the UK, Italy, France, Hong Kong, Spain, the Netherlands and UAE.In the period April-November 2014, India's leather exports recorded a growth rate of 17.18 per cent, reaching US$ 4,450.61 million as against the performance of US$ 3,797.98 million in the corresponding period of last year.
Finished leather registered export revenues of US$ 942.02 million in the period of April-November 2014, witnessing an increase of 10.56 per cent over exports in the same period in 2013.
