The Indian artisans are skilled in working upon small-sized diamonds. At present, India exports 95 per cent of the world's diamonds, according to data released by the Gems and Jewelry Export promotion Council (GJEPC). A predominant portion of the rough, un-cut diamonds processed in India is exported, either in the form of polished diamonds or finished diamond jewelry.
