Anti War Day

15th February, 2003 saw war protestors all over the world appelaing for peace against war between United States and Iraq. On February 14, after getting the weapon's inspectors unclear report about the account of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), US and its allies geard up for military action against Iraq. They also argued that Iraq has no intention of disarming peacefully.

On February 15th, 2003, the whole world pleaded for no-war. But US did not listen to the world's No-War demand. US president was determined to remove Saddam Hussein. Ultimately, US President issued an ultimatum to the Iraqi president, the lawless man to leave the country with his sons within 48 hours or face war.

People wanted peace because they were tired of death and destruction in war. From Tokyo to Beirut and Paris to washington, undreds of thousands of people had taken to streets for global protest against US launched attack on Iraq in the night of 20th rule of Saddam Hussein. Human and humanity cried, wept, groaned, moaned over the inhuman revenge, punishment, destruction and doom.

Hence Anti-War Day on the 15th of February reminds us of bolstering positive emotions of love, forgiveness, compassion, understanding and sympathy with the fellow-men.
