FATHER'S DAY RECIPES

COFFE LIQUEUR COOKIES Vegetarian-Dish

Ingredients

Butter
1/2 cup
White flour
2 cup
Cream
1/2 cup
Baking soda
1 Tbsp
Maple syrup
2/3 cup
Oats
1/2 cup
Kahlua
1/2 cup
Nuts
1-2
Vanila
1 Tbsp
Mint chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup
Egg
1
Coffee liqueur
Coffee liqueur cookies

Method

  • Pour butter, cream, maple syrup, coffee liqueur and vanilla into a mixing bowl and cream together.
  • Add in the egg and stir.
  • Divide flour into three equal portions.
  • Add in one portion and mix well.
  • Add in the other flour balls, one at a time, taking care that they are thoroughly mixed everytime.
  • Add in baking soda and oats.
  • Add in nuts and mint chips. Stir them well into the mixture.
  • Drop the full mixture on an unoiled cookie sheet by teaspoon.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until you get golden brown cookies.

GRILLED POTATOES Vegetarian-Dish

Ingredients

New red potatoes(small sized)
2 lb
Butter (melted)
1/4 cup
Garlic minced
2 cloves
Seasoned salt
1 tsp
Grilled potato

Method

  • Prepare grill and turn on the heat .
  • Slice potatoes in half.
  • Lay halved potatoes in disposable foil pan.
  • Mix butter, garlic and salt in a small bowl. Pour this over the potatoes.
  • Cover pan tightly with heavy duty foil.
  • Next, grill the potatoes 4-6" above heat over medium high coals.
  • Cook the potatoes for about an hour or until you find them tender when pierced with fork.
  • Stir potatoes occasionally and move pan around on grill while cooking to ensure uniform distribution of heat.
  • Serve warm with sauce.

TIP: To cook in oven, prepare potatoes as instructed above. Then bake them at 400 degrees for approximately an hour or until tender.

BANANA BREAD Vegetarian-Dish

Ingredients

Beaten eggs

Riped banana

Shortening
1/2 cup
Sugar
1 cup
Flour
2 cup
Baking soda
1 tsp
Salt)
1/4 tsp
Sour milk(add a few drops of vinegar to milk to make it sour)
4 tsp
Banana bread

Method

  • Cream shortening; add sugar and beat well
  • Beat eggs and mash bananas and add them to the above.
  • Sift flour, baking soda and salt, add alternately with sour milk and beat until it becomes smooth.
  • Bake in a greased pan for about 1 hour at 350 degrees or until it's done. Cool well before slicing.

PASTA PIZZA Vegetarian-Dish

Ingredients

Spaghetti cooked and drained
8 oz
Beaten egg
1
Fat free milk
1/4 cup
Lean ground beef
1/2 lb
Tomato sauce(without salt)
1 can
Garlic & herb salad dressing & recipe mix
1 env
Shredded reduced fat mozzarella cheese
1 cup
Pasta pizza

Method

  • Toss spaghetti, egg and milk in large bowl. Spread evenly in greased 12-inch pizza pan.
  • Cook meat untill brown in medium skillet; drain.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and salad dressing mix.
  • Spoon over spaghetti crust.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
