CHOCOLATE COOKIES
Ingredients
Flour
2 cups
Butter
1/2 cup
Castor sugar
1/2 cup
Condensed milk
1/2 cup
Chocolate powder
1/2 cup
Almonds
1/2 cup
Baking Powder
1 tbsp
Method
- Sift flour and baking powder.
- Add chocolate powder and butter to the sifted ingredients and rub with fingertips.
- Add castor sugar and chopped almonds.
- Gently fold in the condensed milk and roll into small balls.
- Space and place on a greased baking tray and bake in a moderate oven at 190oC for 20 mins.
APPLE JELLY
Ingredients
Apples
2 firm
Cherries
8 glaced
Jelly of desired flavour
1 packet
Flutted or champagene glasses
8
Clove cinnamon powder
2-3 pinches
Sugar
1/2 cup
Water
1 1/2 cup
Corn flour
2 tbsp
Vanilla ice cream
8-10 scoops
Yellow color
1 drop
Method
- Set jelly as per instructions on packet. Peel and cut apple in quarters.
- Put sugar and apple quarters in a heavy saucepan. Heat on high. Sprinkle some water.
- When all sugar has dissolved and the apples are slightly soft, take off gas.
- Remove the apples, drain on a colander. To the remaining syrup, add water, cornflour, spices (clove and cinnamon powder) and 1 drop yellow colour.
- Boil, stirring continuously till thick and transparent.
- Cut the jelly into cubes. To serve spoon jelly into glasses.
- Put a scoop of icecream on the jelly.
- Place an apple quarter on top and pour some warm sauce.
- Top with a cherry. Serve Immediately
SABOODANA CUP CAKES
Ingredients
Saboodana
1 1/2 cup
Milk
1 litre
Basmati rice flour
1 tbsp
Sugar powdered
1 cup
Chinagrass
1 packet
Hot water
1 1/2 cup
Kewara essence
1 1/2 cup
Kiwis, peeled, sliced into thin rounds

Method
- Wash, sprinkle and soak saboodana for 2 hours.
- Boil sago granules in 300 ml. boiling water, stirring continuously.
- Cook till grains are transparent, and press on touch.
- Remove, keep aside to cool.
- Dissolve rice flour or paste in 1½ cup cold milk, till smooth. Put remaining milk to boil, slowly pour in paste, stirring continuously.
- Cook on low, stirring continuously, till thick enough to coat spoon. Add essence,keep aside, to cool till required. Melt chinagrass in 1½ cup hot water, till transparent.
- Keep aside, till required. Beat sugar and china grass together till fluffly.
- Add rice milk mixture, continue beating.
- Fold in sago mixture, beating gently, to keep granules intact.
- To Pour into Individual Bowls:
- Place a kiwi at bottom, spoon in cooled mixture.
- Put to set in freezer till firm.
- Invert mould carefully.
- To Set in Large Pan:
- Arrange half kiwi slices at bottom of a 7 inch transparent deep dish.
- Pour in cooled mixture, spreading evenly over slices.
- Arrange remaining slices on top to decorate.
- Cover with cling film, freeze to set till firm.
- Slice and serve as desired.
PLAIN DOUGHNUTS
Ingredients
Milk
1/4 litre
Flour
250 gm
Eggs
3
Sugar
125 g
Vanialla sugar
1 small packet
Oil
50 ml
Baking powder
1/2 a packet
Salt
a pinch
Method
- Put flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Make a hollow into the centre of ingredients and put the milk, egg and oil into it.
- Stir all ingredients thoroughly until the batter is smooth.
- Preheat the donut making appliance for 5 mins.
- Fill in one level tbsp. of butter per donut mould and close appliance.
- Baking time: 3-3 1/2 min. or until the desired degree of brownness has been achieved.
- Take finished donuts from the mould and use up remaining batter in the same way.
